Dr. Ashlesha Patel is the System Chair of Family Planning at Cook County Health and the Founder/ CEO of APDesigns, a company focused on personalized women's healthcare solutions. Dr. Patel is a Professor at Feinberg School of Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and also a Board-Certified in Ob-Gyn with a Fellowship in Family Planning and Clinical research. Additionally, she holds a Master’s of Public Health, a Master’s of Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety, and an Executive Certificate in Innovation and Product Development; and, most recently, she also completed the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) training program, and serves as an IHI Improvement Advisor. She has a number of research and service delivery grants resulting in numerous national and international presentations and publications.

Dr. Patel has a lifetime commitment to address healthcare inequity revolving around reproductive health. Today she shares RepLI, a patient-friendly application, which aims to empower women everywhere to be the informed decision makers in their reproductive life journey.
